  • How come the recent political debates only showed the candidates from the 2 major parties?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under political parties | 9 Comments »

What about the other political parties (such as the one Ralph Nader belongs to)? Aren’t we supposed to be a democracy?

because america is a 2 party system
    that being said, vote

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!

Who was the last congress member to leave the Democratic Party for the Republican?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under democratic party | 2 Comments »

Arlen Spector left the Republican Party for the Democratic – who has gone the other way? Anyone in recent years?

It was awhile ago, but Ronald Reagan did.

What political party between Democrats and Republicans is most popular with loners lol?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under political party | 4 Comments »

i’m not saying it’s necessarily a bad thing being a person who likes solitude more than many others but what political party between the Democrats and Republicans in the US attracts the highest percentage of the "loner vote" (haha) you think?

Considering how anti-socialism republicans are, I’m gonna guess loners are more republican!

    Get it? anti-social, anti-socialism? lol

How can I become involved with the 2008 presidential election?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under election | 4 Comments »

I’m 17 years old and I will be 18 before the election, so I will be able to vote.
I want to become involved with the election some how.
I’m not going to lie, I am pretty clueless when it comes to politics, but I want to change that.
Politics have started to become appealing to me, but they are confusing.
So how can I learn more about them, and how can I become involved with the election?
    Thanks!

This is a long list of meet-up groups:

    http://www.meetup.com/topics/polact/cand/pres/

Most of them are political groups.
Spend some time scrolling among your favorite candidates. Some may have groups going near you.
The Ron Paul groups top the list & there are 4 of them near where I live & they all communicate on the "net".
I’ve met some Great people and learned a lot about politics, the youngest member was 15, not counting little kids that came with their parents to events.
    Good Luck!

Are Democrats starting to wonder what they voted for after all the corruption now being exposed?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under democrats | 22 Comments »

4 tax cheats later, Obama can’t seem to get his cabinet going- are Democrats having "buyer’s remorse" yet?

Or are Democrats so used to corruption that it no longer makes an impression (Chicago, Detroit, etc.)?

How long will we have to endure Democrat corruption before Obama is impeached?
Oh yes- and Richardson’s quid pro quo, of course

Nope. Obama voters didn’t seek out news, they just voted ABB, or by race or to change party, they don’t keep up with political events. They were clueless before the election & they’re clueless now.

Will Barack Hussein Obama become an epic troll of American politics?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under american politics | 19 Comments »

We already know that he brought great lulz for supporting a racist church. He has refused to show anyone his birth certificate. And now he has managed to increase the national debt astronomically as well as being caught in several lies. Is Barack Hussein Obama on his way to becoming one of the most epic trolls American politics has ever seen?

he is already the top troll !!

How does power and authority relate to politics and the economy?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under politics | 2 Comments »

Define power and authority, and discuss their differences, similarities, and variations. How does each term relate to politics and the economy? Be sure to give clear examples for each point made.

Power is the ability to control or influence. Authority is the power given to one to be able to control or influence.

As a teacher,l I have the ability to control or influence a child in my classroom; but that authority is granted me through the local school board, administrative personnel, and parents.

Those who serve at the behest of the American people have the ability to control or influence the citizens of the United States; but, the President of the United States has the authority to say "no".

What are the different parties other than republican and democrat?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under democrat | 9 Comments »

What other parties are thier besides democrat and republican. What are the main differences and where can I learn more?
Oh my Goddess! Some of these are just whacked out! And none of them look like what I would want. The only one I decided to go read about it the
"3rd party" it looks ok so far, but its small…and I need to read farther because it could turn whacked out at any second too, you never know.

    Check out this website

I did not realize there were actually so many parties. The US Marijuana Party, I guess anyone can have a party.

    No pun intended.
